Having to mod the game to make it anywhere near semi-acceptable isn't my idea of a good game in the first place. The inventory screens without using mods are atrocious. The graphics are fugly, dated and the animation is crap. Oh look that NPC I needed to talk to has buggered off into the void because the crappy script that gives his position and schedule has broken. You can use mods to wallpaper over the cracks but the cracks are still there waiting to leap out at you and devour your soul when you least expect it. Considering 99% of the game uses scripts in one form or another that isn't good. It wouldn't be too bad if the scripts didn't break every 5 mins. Other Gamebryo games don't have half the problems that the Bethesda ones do. The Gamebryo engine they are using is truly an abomination that needs throwing in the nearest active volcano.
